The Climats are the ultimate expression of Burgundy terroirs. These are precisely delimited vineyard parcels that benefit from specific geological and climatic conditions on the slopes of the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune, south of Dijon. Combined with winemaking expertise since the High Middle Ages, the Climats, terroirs of Burgundy, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage, have given rise to an exceptional range of world famous appelations.
Château de PommardChâteau de Pommard is one of the greatest names in Burgundy wines. The aristocratic estate dates back from the Middle Ages with an alluring Regency style castle built in early 18th century. Pommard is known for a wide range of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines but has established its reputation from the Grand Vin du Château de Pommard, a Pinot Noir ruby wine produced from blending the finest terroirs in the Château walled Clos vineyard. | |
